Tight Fit- More Comfort

The SleepTight Mouthpiece is so named partly because of its reference to the English phrase “Sleep Tight” as a wish for a sound and restful sleep. Technically the SleepTight name refers to its improved “tight” fit. This improved fit is accomplished by means of a soft thermoplastic liner “core” which when molded fits snugly around the teeth and gums. Although the fit is tighter, it is comfortable since the material is soft. The outer shell is made of a stiffer material which helps the mouthpiece hold its shape and resist clenching and biting forces which could distort the softer core. No other snoring device offer this patented combination. 

Open Airway – Better breathing

The SleepTight also features one of the largest front airway openings of all the snoring mouthpieces.  This large airway is especially helpful when the user must breathe through their mouth when nasal breathing is impaired for various reasons.  The airway is not restricted from a center stem as is common with other devices.

Tongue Retention – More Effective

The front airway open design allows for gentle tongue retention. Snoring and sleep apnea occur mostly because the tongue drops back over the airway during sleep. Holding the tongue forward by advancing the jaw or retaining the tongue forward helps reduce snoring.  This tongue retention feature also reduces the jaw and teeth discomfort associated with excessive jaw advancement. Unlike tongue suction bulb devices which grip the tongue, the SleepTight allows for easy swallowing during sleep.  No other device offers these combinations.
